“Artificial Intelligence”
Friday 16 December from 7:30pm to 8:30pm CST
For ages twelve and older. NO admission fee.
(Postponed from 12 December)
ABOUT THE DISCUSSION
In September 2023 HRPO devoted a lecture to artificial intelligence. The following text was used to promote the lecture…
No other year of our lives has seen such a social shift in awareness regarding the day-to-day effect government and private use of AI has on the existence of the human species. What is AI? Who is developing it and to what end? What do futurists and policy makers have to say about it? Should we welcome AI with open arms or cautious optimism?
HRPO invites computer programmers, futurists, content creators, enthusiasts, those whose workplaces are adopting to AI and those with online social accounts to this hour of updates and networking.
COMMUNITY DISCUSSION VS. LECTURE
This open discussion will allow different people to take the microphone (after a request) to pass along timely information, air concerns and dispel misunderstandings.
