Artemis II Launch Party

Friday 6 February from 6:30pm to 10:30pm

For ages six and older. No admission fee.
Binocular recommended.

This test flight will be the first of the Artemis Program to have human beings on board: NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch; and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. These four brave souls will travel over 7000 kilometers beyond the Moon!

This trip is expected to last about ten days. Celebration is in order, and HRPO will provide it!

6:30pm to 7:15pm = Saturn [mag +1.1]
6:30pm to 10:30pm = Jupiter [mag -2.6]
6:45pm to 10:30pm = Sirius [mag -1.5]
7:00pm to 10:30pm = Capella [mag +0.1]
7:15pm to 10:30pm = Pleiades Star Cluster [mag +1.5]
7:30pm to 10:30pm = Orion Nebula [mag +4.0]
7:45pm to 10:30pm = Uranus [mag +5.7]
8:30pm to 10:15pm = Canopus [mag -0.7]
There may be a chance to see over sixty Starlink crossings.
