Many say they do not see a Christmas Tree at all. Some see it plainly.

This lovely magnitude 3.9 open cluster lies in the constellation Monoceros and contains approximately forty stars that seem to resolve themselves into the outline of a fir tree. Get into the season by bringing your family and friends during our attempted viewings of this amazing object as it rises in the east!

[The Christmas Tree Cluster is available for public viewing at HRPO from Thanksgiving Thursday to 6 January. HRPO actively advertises those nighttime periods with no Moonlight.]
